NOVAK DJOKOVIC MAKES FOUR-WORD WIMBLEDON DECLARATION AFTER PRACTICING WITH JANNIK SINNER

Relaxed Novak Djokovic hit with world No.1 Jannik Sinner on Centre Court on Thursday and declared: "I am feeling good, I am feeling good."

And the seven-time champion gave a thumbs up when asked if he will be in tomorrow's Wimbledon draw.

The Serbian superstar underwent surgery on a tear in the meniscus in his right knee on June 5. But he flew to London for a fitness test on grass on Sunday - and yesterday hit for 50 minutes with the Italian who beat him in the Australian Open semi-finals in January. It was his first return to Centre Court since losing the final to Carlos Alcaraz last July.

Djokovic, who was still wearing a grey support on his right knee, stepped up the intensity of his training from his session with Federico Coria at Aorangi Park on Monday.

And after the practice, he happily posed for photos with his team and the ground staff before throwing his hat to two children watching in the stands.

No.2 seed Djokovic took a break in his preparations to fly to Germany to see Serbia draw with Denmark on Tuesday to go out of Euro 2024.

Djokovic has already confirmed that he will only take part next week if he believes he can challenge for the title. "I haven't decided yet if I'm playing Wimbledon. I'll decide in the next few days," Djokovic previously told German media. "Thank God, the recovery is going surprisingly well. After Wimbledon are the Olympic Games in Paris, which I am especially looking forward to."

Djokovic picked up his injury at the French Open during his fourth-round match against Francisco Cerundolo. A day later he announced he had torn the meniscus and would be withdrawing from Roland Garros, before having surgery on June 5.

The surgery went well, but Djokovic was hesitant to suggest a return date. He had been expected to skip Wimbledon in order to focus on Olympics preparation, one of the few titles he is yet to win, but the Serb remains positive over his chances of participating in the summer Slam after his second practice session in England.
