Liverpool have broken their women's transfer record with the signing of Canadian forward Olivia Smith.
The 19-year-old joins the club after an impressive debut season in Europe where she scored 16 goals and assisted 10 in 28 appearances for Sporting CP.
The Reds have paid £210k to capture the highly-rated player who has joined Liverpool on a long-term contract.
Smith will be able to get immediately involved with Liverpool after having not been selected for Canada's squad for the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
The record-breaking transfer is Liverpool's first of the summer as Matt Beard's side look to improve on an impressive 2023/24 campaign.
