Harry Kane has a release clause in his Bayern Munich contract until 2027, the Sport Bild weekly said on Wednesday.
The report said that Bayern accepted such a clause when they signed the England captain in 2023 for €100 million ($103 million) from Tottenham Hotspur.
It is believed that such a clause would make it easier for Kane to return to England, but there is no sign it could be activated.
Bayern do not comment on contractual details.
A return could allow Kane to go for the Premier League era scoring record which is held by Alan Shearer with 260 goals. Kane has 213 goals.
Kane moved to Munich to win titles at long last. There was no silverware in 2024, but now Bayern have a six-point Bundesliga lead and are in the last 16 play-offs in the Champions League where this year's final is in their home stadium.
Kane has netted a record 55 goals in 50 Bundesliga appearances for Bayern, and has 70 goals in 72 matches across all competitions for them.
Kane has said on several occasions that he feels good in Munich and at Bayern, where goalkeeper Manuel Neuer and left back Alphonso Davies have renewed their contracts until 2026 and 2030, respectively, this week.
Bayern also aim to extend the deal of attacking midfielder Jamal Musiala beyond 2026, amid speculation that such a contract could include a release clause as well.
Midfielder Joshua Kimmich and forward Thomas Müller have so far not renewed beyond this season.
