LIVERPOOL NEWS: REDS MAKE MO SALAH CHANGE AS JURGEN KLOPP SENT FRESH MESSAGE

Liverpool have enjoyed a fantastic start to the new season after going five games unbeaten to start the campaign.

The Reds have won four out of the first five Premier League matches - their latest success seeing them come from behind to beat Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux. The victory in the Midlands leaves them well situated in the top-four at this early stage.

Domestic action takes a break in midweek as Liverpool get their latest Europa League campaign underway in earnest. They meet Austrian side LASK in their opening group game.

Take a look at all of the headlines coming out of Anfield a few days ahead of that showdown:

Reds make Salah alteration

Liverpool have made a slight alteration to their social media content in an effort to accommodate Egyptian forward Mo Salah. The former Roma man notched two assists in Saturday’s win over Wolves and was justifiably awarded the man-of-the-match award.

Reds’ supporters voted for the award, with the achievement then being announced on X. In the four previous games this term the accolade has been announced alongside an image that clearly displays the Carlsberg logo.

However, that was not the case for the post dedicated to Salah - the sponsorship branding being removed. He is a devout Muslim, with alcohol being banned in Islam.

Minamino hails Klopp

From one current Liverpool winger to a former one now. Japanese forward Takumi Minamino has hailed ex-boss Jurgen Klopp despite his tricky spell at Anfield.

"He always spoke with everyone, even with those who didn’t play," the attacker told L'Equipe. "For me, this is what makes him such a respected and fair coach towards his players. He manages to get everyone’s motivation intact, even the substitutes’."

Minamino scored 14 goals in 54 outings in all competitions for Liverpool after his arrival from RB Salzburg.

Mac Allister makes Van Dijk admission

Liverpool playmaker Alexis Mac Allister has gone against a common consensus by claiming that Virgil van Dijk is NOT the strongest player at Anfield. Instead, he plumped for a couple of surprise teammates.

Asked by Goal to name the strongest player in the team, Mac Allister replied: “I would say Mo, or [Kostas] Tsimikas." Asked to expand on Salah, he added: “Oh, yes. He’s all day in the gym, so he is very strong.”
