ANDY MURRAY EXPLAINS WHY EMMA RADUCANU WON'T PRACTICE WITH HIM AT WIMBLEDON

Emma Raducanu is playing her second-round singles match on Court No.1 later on Wednesday - and Murray is not expecting to practice together ahead of their mixed doubles.

"I don't think so, we'll warm up for the match and stuff but obviously her priority will be her singles practices, and we'll work around that," he said.

"We'll warm up for the matches, obviously, but it won't be more than that I wouldn't have thought."

Raducanu has only ever played one Tour-level doubles match in Washington in 2022 although they faced each other at the Battle of the Brits during lockdown.

"A lot of the skills from singles translate well to doubles," said the Scot. "There's a few things that are obviously a little bit different, particularly when you play against doubles players who are doing a lot of crossing, a lot of movement at the net, that''s something that takes a little time to get used to.

"But she's a brilliant returner and great ball striker so I'd imagine she'll deal with returning guys' serves well.

"And when she's getting into exchanges at the back of the court she'll be really good.

"So I'd imagine she'd be absolutely fine, yeah."
