Lewis Hamilton could finally commit his future to Mercedes this week after revealing he would be sitting down for talks with Toto Wolff to finalise his new contract with the Silver Arrows. The 38-year-old finished second at the Spanish Grand Prix behind Max Verstappen and the Briton is hopeful the team can begin chasing down Red Bull after another tough start to the season.

The seven-time world champion is keen to see Mercedes return to the top and challenge Red Bull for both Drivers' and Constructors' titles. And improvements have made to the car with upgrades brought to Monaco last time out.
A double podium for Hamilton and George Russell was enough to demonstrate Mercedes could begin fighting for race victories in the near future and that will be crucial to keeping Hamilton as he looks poised to sign a new two-year deal worth a reported £125million.
