CONOR MCGREGOR RETURN IN DOUBT AGAIN AS DANA WHITE PROVIDES UPDATE

Conor McGregor's UFC return is in doubt again after Dana White refused to give a rescheduled date for his comeback fight.

McGregor was scheduled to return against Michael Chandler at UFC 303 on Saturday but pulled out of the fight after breaking his toe. Light-heavyweight world champion Alex Pereira took McGregor's spot on just two weeks notice and KO'd Jiri Prochazka in the headlining act of the pay-per-view event.

The former two-weight champion has admitted to dealing with mental struggles after pulling out of a fight for the first time in his UFC career. "I’d be lying if I told you I wasn’t in deep pain right now watching fight week take place. "Deep mental pain. Thank you for the messages of support and encouragement, my peers and fans." he tweeted.

When asked whether McGregor’ could fight in August, September, or October, White told Barstool Sports: “None of the above." The UFC boss doubled down on his comments by telling reporters after Saturday's fights: "I'm not even talking about Conor until he is ready to fight and all of that stuff."

McGregor went on a bizarre tirade after the UFC 303 event concluded by tweeting: "I am f****ng livid f****ng novice bums, here is a tip for dealing with novices just leave them in a coma before they infest their noviceness upon you. Leave novices comatose to save your own mental health or suffer and dire."

Chandler plans to sit out and wait even longer to fight McGregor and had a meeting with the UFC on Friday night to discuss a potential date for the rescheduled date. People can talk about what my motivation is for waiting and sitting out for as long as I have," Chandler said.

"I signed my name on the dotted line last January to fight Conor McGregor and I try to be a man of my word in every aspect of my life, so that's what my number one goal is. Sources close to Conor know that he is going to be ready in September or even August, so we can make some things happen."
