RETRO NEW ARSENAL KIT DESIGN LEAKED FOR 2023/24 THIRD SHIRT LEAVING GUNNERS FANS DIVIDED

As the Premier League 2022/23 campaign heads into the final stretch of the season, leaks of next term's Arsenal kits have begun to circulate around social media. Details of the Gunners' third kit for the 2023/24 season are the latest leaks to emerge suggesting Adidas could look to introduce a design which looks back as the 1982/83 away kit.

Since changing kit provider to Adidas, the Gunners have worn some sharp strips but now could be set for a more nostalgic kit. Similar to the away kit 40 years ago, the strip will feature a dark green base layer with navy blue sleeves and white features.

Arsenal reunited with Adidas back in 2019 after 25 years apart, which saw the club break its kit sales record thanks to the popularity of the designs. Although much of the focus understandably remains on the current campaign with the Premier League title at stake, the thought of Arsenal wearing a beautiful new collection of Adidas kits in the Champions League next season is quite an exciting one.

It's safe to say that Adidas have set high expectations for future kit releases, building plenty of excitement for what they have in store next. Well, thanks to Footy Headlines and others online, we now have an idea.

football.london has decided to take a look at the latest third kit leak ahead of the 2023/24 campaign following details having emerged regarding the home and away strips for next season.

Arsenal are set to release a sponsorless version of the shirt will be available to the public, while sponsors will still be worn by the players during matches. A sponsor-free third shirt alternative will be on sale for supporters alongside the original version, Footy Headlines reports.

Footy Headlines has leaked images that suggest the Gunners could play in a similar kit to that of the 1982/83 away kit - with green and navy being the main colour scheme. It is important to note that the mock-up provided is 'highly speculative'.

Fans are divided about the kit leak with some in favour of the retro design, whilst others believe a completely different design should be considered.

@WolfgangYehYeh tweeted: "Love it. Brings back memories for me - one of the first kits I remember loving as a kid."

@SCS1809 posted: "Best proposed Arsenal ‘leak’ so far."

However, @BakoWPopov disagrees and posted: "These are the ugliest kits that Adidas have made for us this season."

@Gunner12Arsenal agreed and tweeted: "Somehow all the leaked shirts this year are terrible."

We won't know for sure what kits Arsenal will wear next season until they are confirmed by the club. Footy Headlines have a history of being accurate with their leaks, but we cannot say for certain that the Gunners will wear a retro third kit referring back to the 1982/83 season.

The sponsorless version of the kit is believed to be part of Adidas’ Lifestyler range, which is described as 'stylish items that fit more into the fashion category rather than sport.' The Gunners already have a number of Lifestyler items on sale, including sweatshirts, jackets and tracksuit bottoms.

The 2023/24 Lifestyler third shirt will launch in August this year.
