LIVERPOOL TO STEAL BUNDESLIGA MIDFIELDER FROM AC MILAN

Liverpool are keen to hijack AC Milan's proposed move for Eintracht Frankfurt's Daichi Kamada this summer.

The midfielder has verbally agreed to join Milan but CalcioMercato reports that the Reds believe they can swoop in at the 11th hour to sign him.

Kamada has been linked with a number of clubs in recent weeks but it appeared like he was edging towards a move to Serie A.

The Reds need to bring in midfield reinforcements ahead of next season.

The 26-year-old has been in stellar form in the Bundesliga, notching 16 goals and seven assists to his name across all competitions for Frankfurt.

He is out of contract next month and it could be seen as a bit of a no-brainer. Liverpool are set to lose out on the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita and James Milner on free transfers.

And Kamada could provide some important depth for the club who are looking to overhaul the club.

Klopp's overhual

The Reds are close to signing Alexis Mac Allister after personal terms were agreed on. There has also been interest in Mason Mount, but the Chelsea player now looks set to join Manchester United. The Red Devils have touched base with the players’ side and now looks like they’re preparing to make a bid for him.

The window opens in less than a week and clubs have been frantically trying to sort out deals to be in the best position as soon as possible.

Jurgen Klopp has been keeping tabs on a number of players even as early as last year, but now he is about to make a move on his targets, as a means of overhauling his squad. Missing out on a Champions League place would come as a huge blow and something the club won’t like to see happen again.
