CONOR COADY SENDS BLUNT MESSAGE TO 'PEOPLE UPSTAIRS' AT EVERTON AFTER TRANSFER DECISION
Conor Coady has called for a 'reset' at Everton after the club were dragged into another Premier League relegation scrap this season, which they survived.
Facing up to disaster for the second campaign in succession, the Blues stayed up on the final day with a gusty 1-0 win over Bournemouth to send Leicester City and Leeds United down. Coady, 30, played 90 minutes in that match before finishing up his loan spell and returning to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
It was his 25th appearance in all competitions for Everton as the England international now prepares to watch the next step from afar, after it was confirmed the Blues will not be exercising their option to sign him on a permanent basis. But what does Coady want to see change at Goodison Park?

During a guest appearance on the Monday Night Club panel for BBC 5 Live Sport, the defender said: "I think the biggest thing for me is the whole club needs clarity. It needs clarity in everything it does.
"We read and see quite a lot about supporters anger and different things. That's hard for me to speak about, but I also think - as a fan myself - you don't want to see Everton in that position.
"I certainly don't and I didn't when I was playing there. I don't want to see it again, that's where I'm at with it.
"What I really do believe is that it needs some really strong decisions from people upstairs and it needs the strong decisions from everybody to say; 'This is our direction and this where we are going'.
"From being inside, I believe we have lost our way an awful lot and the more we keep losing our way the harder it will be to get back up there. At some point, there's got to be a reset with Everton and we didn't want that reset to be getting relegated from the Premier League."
Asked if he meant as a club or squad, Coady replied: "I think as both if I'm being totally honest and people can see that from the outside. I went there at the start of the season thinking; 'We can change things, we can do it and we can really change it', but we have not done that again.

"It's been another season of losing our way again and fighting relegation. It's so important there is a massive reset, but Everton as a club have got to stop maybe thinking; 'We're staying up so we're alright' and put a plaster on that.
"I don't think it can be that, I really don't. We can't take being relegated to be the reset, we need it now, and I keep saying we because I loved my time there, I really did.
"I loved the people there, I love the football club, I loved going to training every day, spending time there, working and trying to get better and trying to get the club out of that situation."
